Volunteering

We have completed the necessary paperwork to enable Fota to accept Volunteers in an organised and effective way. Our Volunteer Policies will ensure that each Volunteer at Fota will have a defined, invaluable role. Fota offers enormous potential for Volunteers who want to learn and have fun whilst giving a great deal to their community. Areas in which you can be involved include:

- Interpretation: Giving guided tours of the house and its gardens

- Restoration: Working on the furniture and paintings within the house

- Gardening: Within the gardens but also on our allotments

- Glasshouses: Soon to commence, the restoration of the Glashouses will be a large and interesting project

Volunteers came to our first Orientation meeting on Wednesday 20th January @ 8.00pm. If you missed this, fear not! we can send you our Volunteer Role Descriptions and Volunteer Registration Form.

Get in touch with us now to be involved with the Spring and Summer events and projects. The house will open during the first week in April after its winter hibernation.
