WHY VOLUNTEER WITH US?
People are at the heart of everything we do and our mission is to make heritage properties dynamic, accessible and engaging. Our team of passionate and enthusiastic volunteers help us do so much more at our properties and this passion and effort make a real difference.
Volunteering is a great way for people to connect with heritage. We have opportunities for everyone to get involved with their heritage in any way that they choose. We believe that increased individual and community participation at special places helps to bring them to life and protect and preserve them for future generations.
SUPPORT AND TRAINING
All of our new volunteers attend an induction workshop where you can meet the team, find out more about the Irish Heritage Trust and its properties, and learn about the roles you might like to try.
Further training and support will be given on more specific roles and you will have the opportunity to discuss these with other volunteers. We have a regular monthly forum for staff and volunteers to share information, provide training and develop ideas. We also take occasional trips to other properties and hold social events for the team.
If you would like to volunteer at one of our properties, please contact us:
